The Search of Gender Balance in the Veterinary Industry in Zimbabwe

The study established the gender balance in the veterinary industry in
Zimbabwe. A survey of the Harare market was conducted. The major
objective was to examine the status of gender balance in the veterinary
industry. Data for this study was collected using questionnaires and
interviews. Information was collected from veterinarians, employers
and senior management from the Harare market. The study
specifically focused on whether there was gender balance in the
veterinary industry in terms of recruitment and selection, supervision
of veterinarians, promotion of veterinarians, training and development
and benefits at workplaces.
